Fix A Leak Week 2014

Don’t miss the annual Fix a Leak Week happening on March 17 to 23, 2014. This event aims to help people fix leaks from their plumbing fixtures and irrigation systems and save not only valuable water but also money.

This year’s event will be featuring family fun runs, leak detection efforts, and various WaterSense demonstrations.

Professional contractors from the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC) will be providing home and business water audits. Interested parties who need help with addressing leaking toilets, faucets, and other plumbing-related problems can complete this audit request form.

This event is made possible by the WaterSense program by the Unites States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), an initiative that seeks to protect the future of our nation’s water supply by offering people a simple way to use less water with water-efficient products, new homes, and services. It aims to:

  • Promote the value of water efficiency.
  • Provide consumers with easy ways to save water, as both a label for products and an information resource to help people use water more efficiently.
  • Encourage innovation in manufacturing.
  • Decrease water use and reduce strain on water resources and infrastructure.
