On January 22, 2014, Flushmate has announced its expanded voluntary recall of Flushmate III 503 series for consumer and property safety. In their online statement, the company explained that “Affected Flushmate III 503 Series units can burst at or near the vessel weld seam releasing stored pressure. This pressure can lift the tank lid and shatter the tank, posing impact or laceration hazards to consumers and property damage.”
Owners of affected units are entitled to receive a repair kit for each unit, FREE of charge. The serial number may be verified online by visiting http://recall.flushmate.com or dialing the toll-free recall hotline at 702-496-3892 to determine if it is included in the recall.
